C is for Core Sense
Core Sense is what’s at the centre of you.
Your beliefs, behaviour, habits radiate out from your Core Sense. It’s intangible and I believe it’s key to understanding yourself and developing your life the way you want.
For 15 years I’ve been facilitating my clients to acknowledge and engage with their Core Sense and make conscious choices and changes to empower their life. This freely available “A to Z of Wellbeing” is designed to support your self-development in this way too.
- Take a moment to sit somewhere comfortably. Place your notebook and pen within reach.
- Close your eyes.
- Take a deep breath in, and slowly breathe out. Repeat this twice more.
- Sinking deep inside yourself, ask yourself silently what Core Sense might mean to you.
- One or two more deep breaths, repeat the question silently in your mind, gently open your eyes and write your answer.
Please note that whatever you write (or draw) is valid. Do not question yourself or your writing.
(And, no, you’re not to think about your spelling or grammar – or starting a sentence with “And” if you had a particularly formal education!)
This is something that is never wrong. It is a step along your own personal development path.
This is one of my favourite exercises – it’s like throwing bio-degradable confetti up in the air: you’re taking the action and you enjoy watching the beautiful colours swirl and float.
If you take the time to do it, you may feel a moment – or longer – of peace afterwards.
If you followed this, it would be lovely if you would comment.
Any questions? Ask away – tag me if possible, so that I will be “called” to answer!
