Was I really ready?
When I closed my eyes (yes, really) and pressed “Send” on an invite to my Facebook friends yesterday, I was trusting in my wisdom. There was still a bit of me (hence the closed eyes) that wasn’t sure I was ready yet. Was I ready to share more of who I am, what I do and how I help with the world? Was I ready to find that some of my friends, neighbours and colleagues were going to step away from associating with me?
Do you know who you are?
I feel like I’ve been searching for over 35 years to find out who I am. As I said in one of my posts yesterday, this is the fourth incarnation of my work – and that was a great insight to have as I reflected. This point wouldn’t be what it is without the preceding incarnations; without the life “hurts” and the happiness, nor without the insights that has brought. I have a “sketch” of a business plan on the back of an envelope and scribbled in several guises in different notebooks. Broadly I know, as in a deep knowing, what I am aiming for, but because I don’t need funding, I don’t need to have a belt and braces business plan. A full-on business plan has it’s uses and it would have made building my business a very different journey. Over the years though, I have found that I am happiest when I have my broad aims and a structure upon which to build. The ladies who have participated in my “Wellbeing for Business” coaching have all seen my personal One Page Business Plan, which is written pictorially as key parts of a house or temple. They have also seen how capturing their business aims in a way that represents what they are building can help focus and productivity.
Sense of peace
This decade arrives at the mid-point of my life and I am able to reflect in “big-chunk thinking” and see over-arching patterns. I see the key events that shaped my life (and the really big “negative” ones are still easier to pick out nothwithstanding all the healing, there’s just no pain or fear attached now.) I reflect on what I “saw” in my ancestors lives, and what I am still seeing in my wider family. Just 2 nights ago on New Year’s Eve challenging emotions arose within me, that I was able to accept and work through at the time, and all this gives me a sense of peace.
Life happens, and we navigate it in the way that we are able to at that moment. I have consciously reflected and conscientiously practised applying those reflections to help me grow and develop – and I will continue to do so, because I see clearly that the learning is never done; that the journey continues to unfold.
Broadly the Wisdom Work evolved
This is the wisdom work that I do for myself, and that for over 15 years I have been professionally supporting my clients with. Starting to work for myself was born out of necessity which I explain in more detail as a learning point in one of my self-development workshops. However, that necessity wasn’t financial as most people assume, but was a deep need within me to feel of worth and to connect with the outside world, which, due to circumstances, I felt isolated from. The first few years I was deeply healing myself and starting to consciously helping people heal fears that were holding them back using NLP for healing (I am a Master Practitioner), Past Life Regression for Healing and a few other modalities, all as a Master Wellbeing Coach building on my mainstream Learning & Development skills cultivated over the preceeding 15 years.
One of my favourite vehicles for personal development is built upon “Between Lives Soul Regression” originated by Dr. Michael Newton and which I later learnt from Dr. Linda Backman of The Ravenheart Center. As time went on I evolved this into “Between Lives Soul Connection” as part of the Core Sense techniques and incorporated a very practical element to enable to the insights to be directly applied to improving life today.
After that I pursued more esoteric skills, including learning to work with Crystal Healing (Lemurian) and Egyptian Healing Energy – Sekhem and Seichim, which again I still use today when appropriate – as well as Reiki which is the more well-known energy, that I find works so well for people who are predominantly kinesthetic. For the past few years I have been studying and qualifying in Shamanic Healing and Energy Medicine. Both of these I find combine my knowledge and skills to facilitate personal development deeper than ever before.
Alongside these arcane methods I blend in with my private clients, I work with all sorts of organisations from Doctor’s Surgeries to FTSE 100 companies, local councils and prisons, delivering “traditional” workshops on Stress Management and Performance Improvement. I also coach people exoterically at all levels of work to balance within their world in a clear, structured way and to find fulfilment. People will often engage with me for Executive Coaching, but underneath they need to understand who they are and set in motion what they’re ready for next, and so with my skill-set and experience I now offer Adaptive Coaching. Adaptive Coaching can be described as being flexible enough to meet the needs that client has, even if they didn’t know that was what they were searching for before they found it. It adapts according to the needs of the client using the adaptability of the coach’s skills. (I love a bit of word play.)
Who has all the answers?
So for now, these two seemingly dichotomies continue to the outside world, but if you stay with me in The Wisdom Experience you will see, over time, how we are multi-layered and how sometimes improving your Time Management improves your self-esteem, and how sometimes it doesn’t touch the surface.
Today, I write this post (a slightly shorter version is also on The Wisdom Experience Facebook page) and find I don’t have to “close my eyes” to complete it. The act of sending out a clear message to so many has emboldened me; I’ve known it was time to take this step, for some time, but the energy of The Wisdom Experience needed to evolve. Previously I have shared so much too early, and found my thoughts and dreams diminished or cut – off prematurely. For years, I sub-consciously thought that everyone else “had all the answers” and I was just here to learn from them. However, over the years, I realised that everyone is just learning as they go; we all have our own experiences and our own perspectives, and very few are able to hold your dream with you in order to connect it to your vision – so if you find someone who can, celebrate!

Despite my wordiness here, I can also bring you to the point of deep understanding in an instant or even quicker than that! You want to work with me but don’t know what on? Just reach out, connect with me and we can explore what’s happening for you, and I will facilitate you to realise what is relevant to your next steps on the journey. I promise to only offer to work with you if I genuinely believe that will help you move forward.
If you’ve read all the way down to here, you will possibly have a greater insight into why I shut my eyes to press “send” yesterday! When I woke up this morning and find that over 50 souls have accepted my invitation. In the time it’s taking me to write this post, the number keeps growing! I still have no clear “strategy” other than to follow my insight, my guidance, my wisdom and to share when I am in flow!
